Jenny Lamb

Actor. Creator. Director. Educator. Movement Artist. Singer/Songwriter

Born in Pennsylvania and raised all over (including a 5 year stint overseas in Ireland and Malta), Jenny received her BFA from Shenandoah Conservatory and landed in Chicago IL in 1999 and stayed there till 2014.  During that time she co-founded Li'l Buds Theatre Company (www.lilbudstheatre.org), a 501c3 children's theatre company, where she worked as Artistic Director, playwright, director and teaching artist, and she also taught in the Acting Program at The Second City. An accomplished actress, Jenny worked with a variety of theatre companies in Chicago where favorite roles include Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Kate in Taming of the Shrew and Alison et all in Trainspotting USA, and she was named one of 6 performers of note by the Chicago Tribune. Jenny received her MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theatre from Dell'Arte International and has taught at Monterey Peninsula College, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Oklahoma State University. She is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor of Movement at Penn State University in State College, PA where she lives with her husband, David Kersnar and dog Lucy "LuLu" Louise and cat Juno. Recent professional artistic credits include Director for Emilia at Penn State, Director of The Wolves, Charlotte's Web and Stop Kiss at Oklahoma State, Movement Coach for Tibet Through the Red Box (Children's Theatre of Madison), Intimacy Design for Butterflies Are Free, Movement Coach for Into the Woods, Cabaret host for the Red Light Cabaret (Blue Lake, CA), Lin in The Great American Trailer Park Musical with Stages Repertory Theatre, and Fraulein Kost in Cabaret with Obsidian Theatre Company .
